Italy Traffic Fine Check

About this site

A small tool built in Turin for people who rented a car in Italy and got a letter they do not understand.

Who

Italy Traffic Fine Check is made by MixDigital, a web studio in Turin, Italy. Contact: contact@italytrafficfine.com. We are not a law firm and there is no lawyer behind this site.

What it does

It applies general, public rules of the Italian Highway Code (articles 196, 198, 201, 202, 203, 204, 142), the Ministry of the Interior circulars of 20 December 2024 and 25 June 2025, published court decisions and the pages of the European Consumer Centres to the dates you type. Every statement in a result carries its source and a certainty grade.

What it does not do

  • It does not give legal advice and nobody reads your case.
  • It does not send anything in your name: you sign and you send.
  • It does not promise any outcome and does not quote success figures, because none are published.
  • It never suggests leaving a fine unpaid: it describes the consequences so you can decide.

Sources

The Highway Code on Normattiva, the ministry circulars published by the Prefectures, the appeal instructions of the Prefectures of Rome and Parma, Roma Capitale's page on merging tickets, the Competition Authority's decisions on rental fees, the European Consumer Centres of Germany, France and Bolzano, and the Court of Cassation orders cited in each result. Rules were last reviewed on 4 November 2026.
